Mike playing guitar with Thomas Leo at the Mercer Community Center......great music. The Community Center served Italian food and we really enjoyed the music, food and friendship! This is the best part about living in a small town.

A snowy day......I have been keeping a path shoveled from the house to the barn......I love shoveling snow...,my Maine friends think I am crazy!

Brother and Sister

My dad and his sister Orlean......she will be 98 next month.......we had a nice family lunch on a cold winter day.

Winter Work

Mike has built a bedroom suite with a 1/2 bath in the back loft. There is also a "Pirate's Cave bunk room that sleeps 4. He cut a window looking out into the barn.....so the heat can get up in the suite......he is going to put shutters and a window box.......I love it.......

Mike has been working in 0 degree temps......he makes a BIG fire.....and has to hold some of his tools up to the fire....because they are frozen.......what a guy!!!!

Breakfast and dinner will be served here in the kitchen. Lunch will be served in the Quilting Barn.

There is also a large room upstairs with 3 twin beds and 1 double bed. There is a complete kitchen that is available, although we will provide food if it is requested.

This is the upstairs bedroom that is located in a darling "cubbyhole" room that is nicknamed the "birthing room". Evidently my ancestors used this room because the chimney goes straight up the center and keeps the room warm. The walls are the original brown ash and very beautiful.

Two twin beds are also on the ground floor next to the kitchen. There are two full baths on the ground floor.
Our 1790 guest house sleeps 8 comfortably. This is the downstairs bedroom with a double bed.

Well we're filling this building up fast....guess we need to start building another one. Where's Mike?

This is one of antique farm rigs that he will store in the carriage house. He has always wanted to have a museum to display the old farm implements.

This is the new "carriage house" with a little snow. Dad put his tractors and old machinery inside.

We probably had about 400 people coming and going between 12 and 5. There was plenty of room inside as well as outside.

My dad was in his element! Notice the glass of red wine...I think it was blackberry. Our friend Lee Glynn made the wine and it was superb! I hope someone got a video of my dad dancing to the band......too funny.....He loves to dance!

This is the band that played.......we have a perfect place tucked under the new bedroom loft. Everyone really enjoyed the music.

Alberta Currier of New Sharon, Maine made this wonderful cake. You can't see in the picture, but she did little heart patterns on the icing so it looked like white fabric with embossed hearts....so cute.......it was also yummy.
